Professional Objective:
To be a senior member of an engineering team involved in the design of real-time data acquisition and delivery systems. I have 23 years experience in systems engineering, including analysis, hardware and software design, and architecture development. I have 20 years experience in distributed data acquisition system design. My current interests are in Web enabled, Internet based, real-time data systems. I am a self-motivated individual who enjoys challenging work assignments in a problem-solving environment.
Experience Summary:
Halliburton Energy Services, Houston, Texas: Developed components and systems for data acquisition in support of oil field services. Duties included digital and analog circuit design, firmware design, subsystem development, and system installation design of two generations of Wireline Logging systems. Responsibility progressed from design engineer to engineering supervisor. During the oil industry downturn in 1986, I transferred to software development where I designed and implemented data acquisition programs on a variety of platforms. I presently hold one of the highest technical positions within the HES Technology organization, providing leadership in the area of systems design. My current assignment is the integration of HES data acquisition systems for the purpose of providing real-time, remote operations for all product service lines.
Boeing Aerospace Company, Houston, Texas: Provided engineering support for a wide variety of mission critical systems while pursuing a master’s degree at Rice University. Projects included safety analyses of the F-14 flight control, BART door control, and nuclear reactor shutdown systems; on-site hardware and software maintenance of a failure prediction system at an Exxon chemical plant; and development of software to support safety analyses. Responsibility progressed from team member to project leader.
